Terms of Service

Operator and service

TookEffect is operated by Gabriel Salera under the TookEffect brand. TookEffect helps an authorized GitHub user or user-configured agent attempt a supported mutation once, read back GitHub's authoritative state, and retain an integrity-protected evidence receipt. Verified Merge is the first live commercial Effect. Features described as planned or recommended are not represented as currently available.

Your authorization

You must own or be authorized to administer each connected GitHub account and repository. You are responsible for reviewing the target owner, repository, pull request or issue, exact commit SHA, destination branch, checks policy, and proposed Effect Contract before execution.

Evidence is not a guarantee

A receipt reports what TookEffect observed at the recorded time. APPLIED, NOT_APPLIED, and AMBIGUOUS verdicts are technical evidence, not legal certification, regulatory advice, or a promise that external systems will never change afterward.

Subscription, orders, and billing

The Founding plan is USD 19 per month, billed monthly with no free trial. The subscription renews automatically until canceled. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle also handles payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, buyer billing administration, and may show local-currency amounts at checkout.

Cancellation

You may cancel future renewals through Paddle's customer portal. Cancellation stops future subscription renewals but does not erase prior evidence. New mutations may be disabled when paid access ends, while previously issued evidence remains readable subject to TookEffect's retention policy.

Refunds

The first subscription payment is covered by TookEffect's 30-day money-back guarantee, subject to the Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.

Agreement at purchase

Before starting a paid checkout, you must confirm that you agree to these Terms of Service and the Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not submit the order.

Acceptable use

Do not use TookEffect to access repositories without permission, evade GitHub controls, introduce malicious payloads, probe other accounts, resell unauthorized access, or violate applicable law or GitHub's terms.

Availability and liability

The service is provided on an as-available basis. GitHub, Cloudflare, Paddle, network, and other third-party outages can delay or prevent execution, observation, checkout, or subscription administration. To the extent allowed by applicable law, TookEffect is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be reflected on this page. Questions, cancellation problems, refund requests, security reports, or account requests can be submitted through the TookEffect Support page.
